Ethnic clash leaves many injured in Port Moresby
More than 20 people are injured and some hospitalised, with properties worth thousands of Kina destroyed in a ethnic clash in PNG's capital Port Moresby.
Six people are currently fighting for their lives at the Intensive Care Unit at Port Moresby General Hospital.
The fight erupted at 6-mile, one of Port Moresby suburbs yesterday between two ethnic groups, over assault.
Police have intervened and prevented what would have been an escalated tribal warfare. The clash caused inconvenience for many business houses, schools, clinics and the general publich. Police are closely monitoring the situation.
