PNG Prime Minister Peter O'Neill attends PALM in Japan
Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Peter O'Neill is leading a delegation to Japan to attend the 7th Pacific Islands Leaders' Meeting (PALM-7) that will conclude with the Leaders Summit chaired by Japan's Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe.
Foreign Affairs Minister Rimbink Pato is among leaders and senior officials accompanying the Prime Minister.
They will take part in bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Abe and a number of Pacific leaders, as well as meetings with representatives of Japan's private sector.
Mr. O'Neill said the summit and related meetings will provide an opportunity to strengthen trade and cultural exchange with Japan, and partners around the Pacific.
The Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting (PALM) has been held every three years since 1997.
PALM7 will be held in Iwaki-city, Fukushima prefecture, on 22 and 23 May in 2015.
