The Papua New Guinea Hunters are placed fourth on the Intrust Super ladder despite their 7th straight wins in a row. The Hunters stormed home with a 34 - 12  convincing win over Souths Logan Magpies at Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby over the weekend. Well over 15 000 people watched the game and was the biggest crowd that even  watch the Hunters in action. Thousands of rugby lovers who turned up at the stadium to buy tickets at the gate were turned away as the tickets were all sold out and even the stadium could not cater for all.

The Hunters remain two points behind overall leaders Townsville, who beat Central Queensland, and level on 22 with Wynnum-Manly and Ipswich, who both had a bye and have good point difference over the Hunters.
