The Papua New Guinea SP Hunters are set for Round 22 of the Intrust Super Cup clash against the Ipswich Jets on Saturday afternoon. It is one of the biggest matches that put the Hunters to test again. The Hunters have beaten top teams like Townsville Blackhawks in round 20, East Tigers in round 21.  and have registered 12 straight wins since round seven and will work on to add  one more win to make it 13 wins in a row.

The Hunters share 35 points apiece with the Townsville Blackhawks but because of superior point differences, the Blackhawks take the first position while the Hunters are placed second on the competition ladder. The Hunters will take  on third placed and in-form Ipswich Jets and a huge crowd is expected to convene to Ipswich Stadium to watch the game.

Hunters coach has recalled star halfback Ase Boas after he was rested for last game against the East Tigers and  centre Edward Goma replace Ate Bina and Lawrence Tu’u in the starting line-up, while prop Henry Wan gets his first starting spot in the team since Round 15.

The Hunters will be looking to beat the Jets for the first time at their home ground having lost 25-12 in Round 6 last year.

The game will be telecast live on TVWan Sports and will be also streamed live on the internet at 3:00pm on Saturday.
