Divine Word University launches upgraded wesbite

Divine Word University (DWU) launched its upgraded Website (www.dwu.ac.pg) at the Madang campus on Friday 20 November 2015.
DWU President Fr Jan Czuba launched the new-look Website at the close of the annual Staff Review Week. The upgraded Website has new features such as online learning pages and social media connectivity.
The Website has been upgraded at an appropriate time when DWU is gearing up to offer its programs online beginning next year.
Previously, DWU blocked staff and student access to social media platforms on DWU Net to prevent abuse and clogging up of traffic on the network.
Fr Czuba said DWU management has confidence in staff and students that they can responsibly use social media on DWU Net to enhance their academic and research work.
He made a strong plea to staff and students to be responsible when using social media sites through the DWU Net.
“The University expects mature and responsible use of social media by our staff and students on our network,” said Fr Czuba.
Fr Czuba commended the work of the Website upgraded team headed by Vice President Research and Postgraduate Studies, Professor Maretta Kula-Semos and Mr Chandana Silva the director of ICT Services Department and staff from the faculties and ICT.
“It was a demonstration of great team work,” Fr Czuba added.
Prof Kula-Semos said the revamped Website is compatible with desktop and laptop computers, iPads and smartphones, which is good news particularly for students.
The DWU campuses in Madang (main campus), Port Moresby, Wewak, Rabaul and Tabubil all have pages on the Website which will allow staff and students from the different campuses to be connected with each other.
The DWU Website has been useful to current and prospective students who access useful information relating to programs, application forms online, graduation details, tuition and lodging fees and so on.
Many prospective students such as the working class people intending to study through the flexible learning mode now apply online via the application forms available on the Website...Read more on PNG Technolgy News Site
