Goroka welcomes PNG Air
The new look PNG Air aircraft ATR 72-600 touched down in Goroka yesterday afternoon to an overwhelming reception.
Locals packed the airport to have a glimpse of the new aircraft as 4 cultural groups danced on the tarmac as tradition, to receive the new aircraft to the airport.
CEO for PNG Air Muralee Siva as well as PNG Air Senior Management were also on the flight to Goroka.
Mr Siva thanked the hard working staff in Goroka for their commitment which has seen the growth in the company and says that this will now boost the airlines service to the people of Goroka and PNG as a whole.
"I am pleased with what the company has achieved so far, with the name change from Airline PNG to now PNG Air and with the new ATR-72-600 aircraft i assure you all that your travel on board this new plane will be much comfortable as you enjoy the services PNG Air will offer," said Mr Siva.
