Papua New Guinea's Hunters hard running forward Willie Minoga has signed up with 2015 Intrust Super Cup grand finalist Townsville Blackhawks. Nicknamed 'Freight Train" for his bulldozing runs, Minoga has been a consistent and valuable impact player off the bench for the Hunters. He will play for the Townsville Blackhawks in 2016.
Meanwhile. two other Hunters players have been picked up by NRL clubs. Forward Kato Ottio has joined the Canberra Raiders while Warren Clare is bound for Cronulla Sharks o
n train and trial engagements.
PNG Rugby Football League chairman Sandis Tsaka says this is a great boost for the Hunters as they prepare for their third season in the competition. He was proud of the trio as what they’ve achieved is a big plus for the programs PNGRFL has, such as with the Hunters
