SIM Card Policy will have people accoutably : NICTA

You cannot hide nor can you deny once NICTA starts to roll out its SIM CARD registration policy as those people known to be accessing indecent materials on the internet will be traced and held accountable and be charged.
According to NICTAs Ian Mileng, everyone will have their mobile phone sim card registered under their name which the mobile service providers will monitor their internet usage tracing it to their sim cards which will make it easy to apprehend those people who are seem to be uploading or downloading pornographic materials on the internet or accessing indecent information and materials.
Mr Mileng made this known during the recent media workshop organized by the Censorship Office at March Girls Resort in Gaire Central province.
"The Sim Card Registration Act is
currently being looked at by the legal team and will soon be rolled out as we are working in collaboration with the mobile phone service providers," said Mr Mileng.
"The only thing we will not access are your phone calls or text messages, but if a person puts a report that someone is being abusive in their conversation than that can be looked into as well, he said."
