JOKEMA ON A MISSION

Not only have they hit the PNG Music scene by storm with their own style and market with their music and songs but they have matured in life as well.
PNG’s very own popular Jokema Band has grown in their music as well as in their traits.

They will launch their Niugini Flavour Album this Saturday at Lamana Gold Club and begin their country tour to Buka, Hagen and Kokopo later this month with a mission.

According to Band Founder and Lead vocalist Honlly Isaac all profit raised from their tour including the sales of their very own promotional merchandises will go towards the launch of a campaign on Youth Suicide, something Isaac has been part of an experience in his personal life.

Isaac said, he feels this issue is rarely spoken about even though it’s a common issue amongst our youths today while the community and the media remain silent on this issue and are not doing all it can to expose it and help educate youngsters.

He adds that the aim of their tour is to raise money to fund their campaign and they are hoping to set up a helpline with experienced counsellors to help educate and talk to youths faced with problems in life that can eventually lead to suicide.

He said the band feels they have a responsibility to give back to their young fans by educating them on life issues that are affecting them and helping them to prevent them from becoming a victim.
