“His leadership in preparing PNG for its first election is something the people of Oro should be proud of.

“It has shaped the political history of PNG,” said Polye on behalf his family, the people of Kandep, and the supporters and executives of Triumph Heritage Empowerment party countrywide.

He said when he was carefully studying how the forefathers with little education had charted the country’s destination, it was interesting.

Polye said late Simon had contributed enormously to the socio-economic development of the country in certain positions he had served  which also included being a Member of Parliament.
