Two dead PNGDF soldiers to be accorded State Funeral
The bodies of the two PNGDF soldiers killed in Komo in Hela recently will be accorded a full state funeral before they are laid to rest by their respective families.
According to the Army Chief of Joint Operation, Col. Ezekiel Wenzel, their bodies have already been flown to Port Moresby and are now in the custody of their Murray Barrack Command. The actual date of the funeral is yet to be decided.
Meantime, Col. Wenzel says the Army has given its assurance to the people of Komo that there won’t be any retaliation from the soldiers on ground because the matter now is in the hands of both the police and the army to carry out an investigation into the incident. PNGFM/ PNG Today
