Work on rebuilding Arawa Hospital to begin

Work on rebuilding the destroyed Arawa General Hospital will start in the New Year according to the ABG Minister for Health, DENNIS LOKONAI.

Minister said that tender for the rebuilding has been released and awarding of the contract would also be made in the New Year.

Minister Lokonai said funding for the Hospital was also ready awaiting the awarding of contract.

Minister LOKONAI made these remarks when responding to a series of questions from the member for Kokoda, Rodney Osioco this week.

Member Osioco wanted to know if the Government had some plans for rebuilding the Arawa General Hospital destroyed during the height of the Bougainville conflict.
