PNG beat New Caledonia 2 -1, books final showdown with New Zealand

Papua New Guinea has defeated New Calendonia 2 - 1  at the 2016 OFC U-17 Women's Championship in Rarotonga.

PNG was first to register a goal through Roberlyn Kig in the first half.  In the second half, New Caledonia fought back with a goal from the free kick from a penalty to equalize the score 1-1.

PNG muscled up  and  slotted a goal  to beat New Caledonia 2-1.


In other match, New Zealand thrashed Fiji 11 - 0.

Papua New Guinea will meet New Zealand in the grand final.
