PNG Hunters forward Timothy Lomai suspended from training

The Papua New Guinea Hunters forward Timothy Lomai has been suspended from training with the Hunters team . PNG Rugby Football League CEO, Bob Cutmore, announced his suspension stating he failed to maintain the values expected of the Hunters playing group.
According to Cutmore, the suspension may, and can, be lifted dependent on Lomai’s ongoing commitment and dedication to the stated values of the Hunters and his willingness to show his fellow players and Hunters staff that he is determined to do his best for the team.
The PNG Hunters remains in training with a 24-man squad, under the guidance of assistant coach, Nigel Hukula.
Coach Michael Marum is on leave and will travel to Brisbane to improve his coaching skills with the Broncos Coach Wayne Bennett.
