Its a great start for the PNG Under 17 girls competing in the Oceania Football Confederation Women's Championships in Cook Islands .
They thrashed Vanuatu 7 goals to one in their opening game yesterday and are pool B leaders.
Belinda Giada was the hero of the match scoring 4 of the seven goals, as the girls put on a great display of passing and anticipation.
Commentators say they along with Fiji remain the sides to beat in the tournament behind New Zealand.
Fiji beat hosts Cook Islands 3 goals to Nil and are in second spot.
In group A, New Zealand is ahead after thrashing Samoa 11 goals to nil and New Caledonia in second spot with a 5 goals to nil victory over Tonga.
