ABG approves contract to foreign company without proper documents
The Autonomous Bougainville Government has not given that opportunity to local companies who bidded for the 10km road construction from Salsa to Hagus in Small Buka at a cost of K15million.
However, this project was awarded to a foreign owned company Raibro Construction Limited by the Bougainville Tenders Board at a cost of K33million.
The company was awarded the contract towards the end of 2015 and there is suspicion of foul play in the manner the contact was awarded to Raibro Construction Limited as it does not have an Enterprise Certificate from IPA.
This station understands that the multi-million kina contract was bulldozed through the tenders board in the absence of President John Momis and IPA has written to the Chief Internal Auditor for Bougainville highlighting the breaches by the foreign company.
