Court reinstates PNG Power Executive Director John Mangos
The National Court has today reinstated suspended Executive Director for PNG Power Limited, Mr John Mangos.
Mr Mangos restraining order against PNG Power Limited was approved meaning that he will still be on the payroll for PNG Power and receive his entitlements owed to him by the state owned entity.
In handing down the ruling, Justice Danajo Koeget said that section 12 of the Kumul Consolidated Holdings Amendment Act 2015 states that the power of removing and appointing any Director of any SOEs rest with the NEC.
In this case Mangos was suspended by PPL Board which he filed an Affidavit on 17th December 2015 in support of Notice of Motion restraining order against PPL dismissing him from employment.
He is now being reinstated by the National Court as Executive Director for PNG Power Limited.
