Scholarships for Central students now open

Governor for Central Province Kila Haoda has again come to the aid of the Central Province parents and their children who are looking to continue tertiary education this year;

Governor Haoda this week announced and issued the accepted scholarship letters to students who gathered with their parent at the Governor’s office at the Central Province Head Quarters in Konedobu, Port Moresby.

This scholarship Program started back in 2013 and continued for the past three years with over three thousand students being in this scholarship program already. 

Every applicant is required to fill in an application form which should state clearly that he or she is form Central Province.

Governor Haoda says the goal for this program is to assist those parents to continue to educate their children to better their families well being, the Central Province and contribute to the development of PNG.

This scholarship program have been allocated a funding of about K2 million annually with K2,000 scholarship funding to every applicant and this being the fourth year, already over 400 applications have been received and accepted with guarantee letters been issued to students. PNGFM
