Crocodile Festival set for August 2016
This year will mark the 10th year of celebrating the famous Sepik River Crocodile Festival in the East Sepik Province.
A community Leader from Ambunti Jamie Asa said this is a time when Sepik River communities come out in traditional colours to showcase the Sepik River Cultures and values to people and visitors in their in Ambunti and the province.
Mr Asa said the Crocodile Festival is a three-day event staged annually in Ambunti.
He added that the festival will be held on August 5th - 7th highlighting the importance of the crocodile and its cultural significance amongst Sepik River communities and preparations and promotions have started already and they are hoping for a bigger one this year. Photo credit: Flicker
