PM O'Neill arrives in Tari to pay respect to late governor Agiru

Prime Minister Peter O'Neill arrived in Hela Capital Tari  at  midday today (Saturday) with his delegation from POM to pay his respect to the late Anderson Agiru n people of Hela. 

PM O'Neill who flew in to Angobe by chopper was escorted via road to the Andaija oval in Tari.

He was was received by Tari leaders and greeted with handshakes by the waiting delegates from the police station right to the oval before taking the main stage. 

The casket of the late governor was not present at the oval but will be taken to the 3 districts tomorrow for viewing before the body is formally handed over to the family and relatives. 

The late governor will be laid to rest in his home village at Dauli on Tuesday.
