PNG U20 women lose to Japan 10 - 0
PNG U20 womens' team was left scoreless at the fulltime whistle by a classy Japan side in the opener of the Tri-Nations friendly match tonight at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby.
It all started in the first half of the match when Japan's striker Juri Kawano nailed the first for Japan in less than 5 minutes after kick off.
Kawano belted 2 more goals for a hatrick within 15 minutes.
It was a one-sided affair as the already exhausted PNG girls tried to control alot of mishandling while trying to break through their fast and tricky opponents defence line.
Japan added another 3 goals to seal a 6-0 lead over PNG at half time.
PNG realizing their mistakes in the first half made little advance into their opponents territory but kept falling short on target.
Japan maintained their class in the second half with another 4 goals, the last coming from a penalty to beat hosts PNG U20 team 10-0 at the full time whistle.
