Turia Pitt walks the kokoda track in PNG
Turia Pitt, the lady who survived the bus fire in Kimberley region, Western Australia in 2011 tells of what has become of her after the tragic disaster . Pitt who suffered burns to 65 % of her body, is making very use of her life by trekking the world and raising funds for those that are in dare need of surgery.
The young Australian arrived for the first time in Port Moresby accompanied by a group of trekkers when this news team caught up with her at the Jackson International Airport.
Pitt who is a Ambassador for Interplast Australia and New Zealand has raised over $300, 000 every year for Interplast, by trekking around the world.
Speaking during a interview, Pitt says she and her team are happy to be here and will walk the historic Kokoda track to owen’s corner and then through to Popndetta town, making it one her historical walk in her carrier. PNGFM
