Police investigates brutal murder of Young female by a lawyer in Port Moresby

Police in  Port Moresbye have started investigation into the brutal murder of a female over the weekend allegedly by her partner who is believed to be a lawyer. Relatives of the young female have lodged complaint at a Police station in Port Moresby. 

National Capital District Police Metropolitan Superintendent Mr. Benjamin Turi says  at this time he is unable to disclose details of the incident, but confirms that a report to this station from relatives regarding the alleged murder has been lodged with police investigators.

It was alleged that the partner of the deceased, bashed her up and later shot her to death with a gun.

Turi says the full detail of the incident will be made known soon after police homicide complete the investigation and have the suspect arrested.

No arrests have been made at this time.
