Rait FM announcers to release first single
The 99.5 Rait FM Breakfast Announcers Loqie and Elton will release their first ever single tomorrow.
The single called ‘The Love Song’ will be played at 8.15 am on Rait FM. PNG Personality Eli Webb will have the honor of pushing the play button for the very first play on radio ever.
NCD Governor Powes Parkop will also be in the studio to witness the launch of the single. The song is the result of Breakfast Co-Host Didi finding a clip on YouTube of the boys in a band over 10 years ago.
After playing it on-air, callers rang the show and dared the boys to try out for the POM Vocal Fusion auditions. So they did and listeners helped decided the name of the group, what they will wear, and what cover songs they will sing.
The boys got through the first auditions and sent were through to the main auditions where they performed their original ‘The Love Song’.
Eli Webb really liked the song and suggested that the boys recorded the song and release it. They convinced CHM Supersound Label Manager Braden Chin to give them studio time, and now have the song ready to be released.
They are very excited about PNG hearing the song for the first time tomorrow morning at 8:15am.
Governor Powes Parkop and Eli Webb will be joined in the studio by 10 Rait FM listeners who each claimed a spot to also be part of this exciting first play event.
