Re-development of Moitaka Wildlife Sanctuary contract awarded to Dynasty Development Ltd
H.E. Grand Chief Sir Michael Ogio, GCL, GCMG, KStJ, Governor General of Papua New Guinea has executed on behalf of the State a Heads of Agreement (HOA) contract for the re development of Moitaka Wildlife Sanctuary land.
The contract was awarded to Dynasty Development Limited of Rimbunan Hijau (PNG) Group under a Land Swap arrangement in which the value of the land will be given as consideration for the development of the Moitaka Sanctuary.
The approved value of the contract is not provided as it will be fully financed by the developer Dynasty Development Limited.
The redevelopment of the Moitaka Sanctuary will include office accommodation and a staff home ownership scheme project of about 200 houses.
The Moitaka Sanctuary is under the care of the Conservation and Environment Protection Authority. Managing Director Gunther Joku says the Heads of Agreement is consistent with the Authority’s intention to redevelop the Moitaka Wildlife Sanctuary land.
The Moitaka re development project will commence once all other outstanding approvals required by law are obtained from the relevant authorities including the National Capital District Physical Planning Board and Department of Lands and Physical Planning, among others.
Dynasty Development Limited Executive Directors Mr. Ivan Lu and Mr. Nathaniel Ho signed the contract on behalf the company witnessed by Conservation and Environment Protection Authority Managing Director Gunther Joku at Government House this morning.
