The SP PNG Hunters maintain third spot on the Intrust Super Cup Competition ladder after round 22. The Hunters belted competition leaders Burleigh Bears 30 - 20 on Sunday afternoon at the National Football Stadium in Port Moresby. The Bears are second on the ladder while Redcliffe Dolphins took over the top spot after beating East Tigers 28 - 22.

The Hunters will play three more games before the finals. Two are away games where they will take on Townsville Blackhawks in round 32 and Northern Pride in round 24. The final will be a home game against the Sunshine Coast Falcons in round 25.

From 20 games played, the Hunters are on 32 competition points (14 wins, 6 losses and 2 byes) and a points for and against of 118.

Redcliffe Dolphins (34), Burleigh Bears (33), SP Hunters (32), Townsville Blackhawks (31), Easts Tigers (26) and Sunshine Coast Falcons (25).
