PNG Police Minister Atiyafa saddened over death of cop in Alotau
PNG Police Minister and Member for Henganofi Robert Atiyafa has express his deepest sympathy to the immediate family, friends and colleagues of late Constable Samuel Pisa who was shot and killed in the line-of duty by criminals in Alotau, Milne Bay Province.
“It is indeed a sad moment for the family and the constabulary to have such a young man in the prime of his life taken away so suddenly and so brutally,” Minister Atiyafa said.
Minister Atiyafa urged the family and colleagues of the slain policeman to keep calm and allow the law to take its course. He gave his assurance that those who shot the policeman will be brought to justice.
Constable Pisa, 25 years old from Tupiri village, Mendi Southern Highlands Province was shot dead by robbers in Alotau on Saturday July 30.
“It is indeed a sad moment for the family and the constabulary to have such a young man in the prime of his life taken away so suddenly and so brutally,” Minister Atiyafa said.
Minister Atiyafa urged the family and colleagues of the slain policeman to keep calm and allow the law to take its course. He gave his assurance that those who shot the policeman will be brought to justice.
