U.S. President Barack Obama Congratulates the Republic of Vanuatu on Independence Day
Port Vila, Vanuatu.
The American people join me in extending congratulations on your nation's 36th independence day this July 30.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of U.S.-Vanuatu diplomatic relations, and our relationship has been defined by friendship, collaboration, and good will.
From the Millennium Challenge Corporation's $65 million road construction project and our devoted Peace Corps volunteers, to combined military and law enforcement engagements like Koa Moana, we look forward to continuing our important work together.
I wish you and all of Vanuatu the very best on this special occasion.
Sincerely,
Barack Obama
