World's Top Journalist Organization to Train PNG Journalists
The United Nations in Papua New Guinea and the Media Council are delighted to announce that a week-long journalist training will be conducted by the world-top journalist organization, Thomson Reuters.
According to online reports the organisation are going to accommodate 15 well-committed and motivated journalists within the Papua New Guinea to benefit from this training.
This first-ever initiative is to further develop skills of journalists in Papua New Guinea to meet international standard and to equip them with better reporting capacities on some of the important issues in the country.
Training takes place between 29th August and 2nd September 2016. Training subjects include reporting on children rights, gender based violence, Sustainable Development Goals, environmental issues, reproductive health.
PNG-based journalists who have over three years of work experience as a journalist and who belong to media outlets are encouraged to apply.
Interested applicants should download documents below and carefully read them before submission. Submission closes on Friday 12th August.
