Be responsible during independence celebrations or face the police that’s the word from
NCD top cop Ben Turi.
“It’s a Government fortnight this weekend on Independence celebrations so take care, do not drink and drive respect each other, take cautions and drive around and I wish you all Happy 41st Independence Papua New Guinea,” said Metropolitan Superintendent Turi.
Mr. Turi revealed that police will also be out in force to ensure public safety and will be on the look
out for those causing disturbances,
Meanwhile a warning to all you motorist on the road to be always cautious, a Taxi driver got his long weekend off to a bad start when the Taxi he was driving ran into the back of a bus belonging to the Assembly of God (AoG) church, the accident occurred at the turn off outside Stop N Shop Rainbow, fortunately no one was injured.
