Lloyd Robson passes on

Lloyd Robson, the veteran who promoted rugby league in PNG in the late 70s passed away in Australia on in the early hours of Wednesday.

Robson spent 25 years working in PNG during the late 1970s before moving to Australia in the 80s to settle at his birth place in New South Wales.

He had a passion for rugby league where he actively involved in playing and coaching rugby league in Port Moresby in the late 70s.

He was recognised for his service to PNG rugby league by having the  Lloyd Robson Oval (now National Football Stadium) named after him.

According to his family, Late Robson passed away peacefully at his home in New South Wales, Australia.
