Women continue to dominate Kiribati population

A report from the Statistics Office in Bairikii says that women continue to outnumber men in the recent population census in Kiribati.

According to the 2010 population census, the total population of Kiribati was 103,058 of which 50,796 were men and 52,262 were women.

Kiribati’s current population now stands at 110,136 according to last year’s population census report and of that, 54,094 were men and 56,042 were women.

The figures shows that women continue outnumber men in the country with an increase of 1,948
