Customary Landowners demand PM O'Neill to sack two Cabinet Ministers
The Customary landowners of Manu manu, Gabadi and Pinu in Central Province have given a 48 hour ultimatum to the government to immediately sack two of his Cabinet Ministers.
This is in response to allegations that the Sate Enterprises Minister William Duma and Defence Minister Dr. Fabian Pok, were alleged to be involved in a fraudulent deal in trying to sell their land.
Landowner spokesperson Lucil Paru said this when outlining their demands yesterday.
"One we demand the Honorable Peter O’Neill to revoke the title two we demand a commission of inquiry into this land deal and conduct a police investigation emmidiately we also demand the Prime Minister Peter Oneill to terminate ministers William Duma and Minister Fabian Pok, we also demand the involve mernt of our Manu Manu Gabadi and Pinu land owners in any land deal," Miss Paru said.
Paru also said the people of Central Province have suffered greatly under various governments and now demand to be party to any deal over their land. NBC News/ PNG Today
