Another National record for PNG athletics in the United States
Another PNG national record fell over the weekend as the outdoor track and field season got under way in the USA.
This time Adrine Monagi improved on her national heptathlon record set at the NCAA Division 2 Championships last year.
Already in her final season of Inter collegiate athletics at the young age of 21 the PNG record holder was competing at her home track in San Angelo Texas alongside team mate Kami Norton who placed second at the recent indoor nationals.
The competition with Kami has been very good for Monagi who ran a personal best 14.34 seconds in the 100m hurdles and put the Shot 11.04metres on her way to a points total of 5221 for the seven event heptathlon.
