PNG Hunters maul Norths Devils 40 - 18
The Papua New Guinea SP Hunters defeated Norths Devils 40 - 18, in round 13 of the Intrust Super Cup match played at the Bishop Park this afternoon.
The Devils were first to open the scored board with a try on the 5th minute through Luke Pollock. The Hunters replied with a try on the 15th minute. One more try each team saw the score was locked at 12 all at half-time.
In the second half, the Hunters dominated in attack and in defence. Their efforts were reward with 5 -try mauling of the homeside to 1 try. Tries to Adex Wera (40 min), Bland Abavu (45) Stanton Albert (55min), Nixon Put (66min), Moses Meninga (78min) saw the Hunters came out winner with 40 - 18 thrashing. Captain Boas converted six of the seven tries.
The win saw the Hunters still maintain the top spot on the competition ladder.
