Funeral Service for late Ottio underway in Port Moresby

The funeral service of the late Kumuls player, Kato Ottio, is currently underway at the Sir John Guise Stadium indoor complex in Port Moresby.

Hundreds of fans have packed the indoor complex to show their final respects to the late 23-year-old Hunters and Kumuls star.

Late Ottio's casket arrived at the Sir John Guise indoor stadium carried by his Kumuls and former Hunters teammates.

In attendance is Moresby South and Lands Minister Justin Tkatchenko, Vice Sports Minister Wesley Raminai and other senior statesmen.

The funeral service celebrant, Reverand Oika Gabutu, has taken the podium to deliver the sermon of the day.  Tribute speeches are being made by some dignotaries including PNGRLF Chairman SandisTsaka

After this funeral Service, the Casket  will return  to Funeral Home.

2.00pm Casket departs Funeral Home for Tatana village to overnight
Tuesday January 16, 2018
10.00am - Funeral Service at Tatana United Church
12.00 noon Burial at Tatana Cemetery

The Post Mortem is currently being done and PNGRFL will advise as soon as it is completed.
