Officers from the White River Police Station in West Honiara, Solomon Islands are investigating an attack on a 26-year-old male Bangladesh national on 29 April 2018, in the White River area.
The victim is believed to be working as a shop assistant for another Bangladesh national operating a shop at White River.
It is alleged during the night of 29 April, the man left his workplace with another colleague intending to walk to the White River 02 Bus Stop area to visit a relative when he was approached by a local male.
The local male is alleged to have asked the victim for a cigarette but in response the Bangladesh man said he did not have any.
