Tonga Police seized methamphetamine with approximate street value of TOP$10,000
Tongan Police arrested a 34-year-old man with 10.38 grams of methamtphetamine packed ready for sale on Wednesday.
A search warrant was executed at his residence in Hofoa early Wednesday morning. Police seized the illicit drugs along with cash, electronic devices and Tongan fine mats.
Estimated street value of the methamphetamine seized is TOP$10,000 (US$4,425).
Acting Tongan Chief Superintendent Siosifa Latu says, “As demonstrated by this arrest, we continue to focus on capturing and prosecuting those responsible for the harm the destructive drugs cause to youths, families and our community.
We encourage anyone who may have information about drug related offending to contact their nearest Police station or contact 23417or 922.”
The suspect is in police custody while investigation continues.
