PNG Hunters team for Round 2 match against Northern Pride
Ila Alu will be out for at least six weeks after suffering a fracture to his mid shaft of the radius bone on his left forearm during last Sunday’s loss to Tweed Heads Seagulls in Brisbane.
McKenzie Yei who was put on report for a dangerous throw entered an early guilty plea and has been cleared to play will replace Alu in the starting line- up. Junior Rau will take up his wing position after sitting out a one match ban pushing Brendon Nima to the interchange bench.
Stanton Albert and Epel Kapinias have been named on the extended bench.
These are the only changes Coach Michael Marum has made for Round 2 of the ISC competition and first home game at NFS against Northern Pride on Sunday.

The Curtain Raiser will be a Digicel Cup ‘trial’ match between debutants Central Dabaris and Gulf Isou which kicks off at 12.15pm. SP Hunters take on Northern Pride at 3pm in their first home game for 2019 and Round two of the ISC competition. Gates at the Oil Search National Football Stadium open at 11am on Sunday March 17, 2019.
