PM Marape removes former PNG Prime Minister Peter O'Neill from his Govt
Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Jame Marape has announced the removal of former Prime Minister Peter O'Neill from his government. According to Police Minister Kramer, Mr. O'Neill will now join the opposition led by Patrick Pruaitch.
Meanwhile,PM Marape has invited seven Opposition members to join the government ranks. Some of them were given ministerial portfolios
The seven members of Opposition who join Marape Steven Government are:
1) Ian-Ling Stucky - MP for Kavieng
2) Walter Schnaubelt - MP for Namatanai
3) Allan Bird - Governor for East Sepik
4) Timothy Masiu - MP for South ABG
5) William Naken - MP for North ABG
6) Gary Juffa - Governor for Oro
7) Sir Mekere Morauta - MP for NE Moresby
Kavieng Open MP, Ian Ling-Stucky has been appointed to cabinet as Treasurer, Treasurer Sam Basil moved to National Planning while incumbent Planning Minister Richard Maru has been discommissioned.
