ABG President Momis Commends PNG PM Marape
Autonomous Bougainville Government President, Chief Dr. John Momis has commended the Papua New Guiena Marape-Steven Government for its commitment to the Bougainville Peace Agreement.
He said since Prime Minister James Marape came into office he has made great progress in partnership with the ABG in implementing the peace agreement, especially with the referendum process.
President Momis said he is confident that the post-referendum consultations between the National Government and Bougainville will be mutually beneficial under the leadership of Prime Minister Marape.
“This Prime minister is prepared to accept the outcome of the referendum and deal with it,” said Momis.
President Momis reminded Bougainvilleans that the referendum outcome will be consulted on by the Bougainville and National Government Consultative teams and the result of these consultations will be ratified by the national parliament.
