COVID-19 Cases increases in the Pacific

The number of Coronavirus cases continues to increase daily in the Pacific with four deaths recorded so far and 153 cases, an increase of 12 new cases from yesterday.

Guam has three deaths, with 82 cases as of today, while the Northern Marianas has confirmed its first death.

Data from the John Hopkins University COVID-19 trackers show that PNG and Timor Leste are the only countries in the world, with only one confirmed case each of the viruses, as of today.

French Polynesia still has 37 cases, New Caledonia has seen a new case bringing its total to 18 cases today, and Fiji has confirmed 2 new cases yesterday, bringing its total to 7 now, while Northern Marianas has 8 confirmed cases.

Data from the John Hopkins University COVID -19 tracker show that as of 11 am this morning Australia now has 5,116 confirmed cases with 24 deaths, Indonesia has 1,790 cases with 170 deaths and New Zealand has 797 cases with 1 death.

Globally, there are now 1014 673 confirmed cases, and 52 973 deaths. 210 973 have recovered from 181 countries of the 195 countries in the world.

The United States now has 244 673 confirmed cases and 5911 deaths, Italy has 115 242 confirmed cases with 13 915 deaths, Spain now has 112 065 confirmed cases and 10 348 deaths, Germany 84 793 confirmed cases with 1107 deaths and China has 82 433 confirmed cases with 3322 deaths.
