Alotau MP Charles Abel confirms the signed document |
Alotau MP Charles Abel made these known in a news conference yesterday.
Charles Abel when making the documents known highlighted that it was not easy but the leaders in the Opposition have made a very bold move because they have seen and felt that something was not right in the way the current government was heading.
He said the MPs who crossed the floor means business to change the government and to this day they remain very much united and to cement their journey they have signed the MOU.
''We commit ourselves in writing the two documents to cement and seal this marriage because of the underlying love for the country and the determination to do something about it.
''Not just to say its OK, let things continue, let the election come and will deal with it after the election, we felt compelled in our hearts and we want to do something about it.
Mr. Abel said the MPs in the Opposition have thrived to translate some of the concerns they have into concrete actions and measures that realistically we can undertake in 12 months in trying to stabalised what is happening to our country politically and also to stop some of the deterioration in governance systems.
