PNG PM Marape visits Kikori to Launch Several Projects
PNG Prime Minister, James Marape has arrived at Ihu station in Kikori , Gulf Province to launch several impact projects including the Ihu Special Economic Zone.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by the member for Kikori Soroi Eoe , Works Minister, Michael Nali , Central Governor, Robert Agarobe , Transport Minister, William Samb and Gulf Governor, Chris Haiveta amongst other dignitaries.
The dignitaries were given a warm welcome by local traditional singing groups and were also accorded a guard of honour by local police based in Kerema , Ihu , Kirori and Baimuru.
Other projects which the Prime Minister will officially launch is the Kikori - Ihu Kerema Road project, the Ihu Airstrip Rehabilitation project and the SME Training, Graduation and funding.
The Prime Minister's visit is focused on the SME's, the promotion of agricultural and business activities and creation of markets.
Mr Marape will also visit the Gulf capital Kerema , and will also talk to the people before retiring for the day.
