16 DIED OF COVID-19 IN MOROBE
Sixteen (16) people have died as a result of coronavirus, in Papua New Guinea's Morobe province. This figure was released by the Morobe provincial health authority (MPHA) in its latest COVID-19 report.
Lae still leads the nine districts with 854 cases registered so far, followed by Bulolo at 41, Nawaeb at 38 cases and Markham with 10 cases so far.
In this week’s COVID-19 status report, the Morobe PHA has registered 16 deaths and a cumulative total of 986 cases.
Finschhafen has five cases, while Huon-Gulf and Tewai Siassi has one case each registered.
A piece of positive news this week is the recovery of all 67 health workers at Angau general hospital and from around the districts, who contracted covid-19 and went into isolation and treatment.
