It has been a remarkable individual performance from the homegrown talent following the footsteps of former Storm great - Marcus Bai. Season 2021 has been a stellar one for Olam despite his team falling one game short of the Grand Final. Olam's award caps off a wonderful season for Papua New Guinean internationals in NRL. The PNG LNG Kumuls fullback Alex Johnston took the Ker Irvine Medal for the Dally M Top Try Scorer for the second consecutive year, while Kumul flyer Xavier Coates got the Dally M Tackle of the year.
