PNG PM Marape Pays Tribute to Late Sir Silas Atopare & Sir Pita Lus

Prime Minister James Marape has joined other Papua New Guinean's in conveying his condolences to the families of the late Sir Pita Lus, as well as the country's 7th Governor-General, the late Sir Silas Atopare.

Mr. Marape after arriving in the country yesterday said that he is saddened to lose so many people, who are closer to him at heart, and people he looks up to as mentors and even friends.

Mr. Marape also used the occasion to convey his condolences to two of his close friends who also died recently and urged people to get vaccinated, because of the threat from COVID 19.
