Police to enforce Pandemic Act in PNG's second largest city of Lae
Papua New Guinea Police in Lae , Morobe Province will start arresting people without masks in public places.

Assistant Police Commissioner Peter Guinness announced recently that the Pandemic Act empowers the police to arrest people who do not abide by the covid-19 protocols.
ACP Guiness says police are committed to assisting the Health Department and relevant agencies in combating the spread of the virus.
He said this following surge in COVID-19 deaths and cases around the country.
