Semoso Wants another Bank Established on Bougainville

Buka Town Manager and Buka Businessman, FIDELIS SEMOSO today called on the Independent Consumer and Competition Commission to get another Bank to establish its services in Bougainville.

Speaking at the signing of the MOU with ICCC and the Commerce Trade and Industry in Buka, MR.SEMOSO said monopoly by the only Bank in Buka BSP is not helping the customers on Bougainville.

He said that because the job of ICCC is also to make sure major Businesses in PNG are not monopolized it must support Bougainville to establish another Bank in the region.

Just last week, MR. SEMOSO wanted the ICCC to increase the tariff for Buka Power because it was not making enough monies to supply power to its customers.

He also wanted the EASY PAYMENTS to remain in Bougainville so that these funds can be used to operate the Power in Buka.

MR SEMOSO said Bougainville was moving forward however the ICCC service into Bougainville was welcomed.
