PNG ICT Minister Maisu Saddened at the Untimely passing of NBC Board Chairman

PNG Minister for Information & Communication Technology, Timothy Masiu has expressed shock and sorrow at the sudden and unexpected passing of Chairman of the NBC Board, the late Pius Tikili.

The late Tikili passed away last Friday.

Minister Masiu was in his electorate during the weekend when he was informed of the tragic news and said he was still coming to terms with this loss.

The minister passed on his condolences to the immediate family and tribesman including the people of Western Highlands. 

The minister is expected to deliver the body of late Tikili to his family and tribe in Western Highlands later this week.

Meantime - NBCs Managing Director Kora Nou has expressed his sorrow and sadness at the untimely passing, describing it as a tragedy for NBC.

He says, the late chairman brought in a unique style of leadership into the NBC's Board and Management which was positive. 

Mr Nou attributed the changes at NBC during late Tikili's tenure, as evidence of his leadership and guidance to the Board and Management. 

He further describe Tikili's loss as tragic and passed on his condolences to his wife Agnes, children and grandchildren and the people of Western Highlands.
